I developed a WebGL background element for Din Fagforenings AI assistant, Botty, to match the gradient from their design guide. I also animated the Botty avatar with different states.
Din Fagforening created an AI assistant named Botty. I developed a WebGL endless animation for the background of the main chat page. The animated WebGL gradient was designed to match a gradient from the design guide for the Botty project, with the goal of creating an organic, flowing gradient using as few resources as possible.
I gave the simple Botty avar life and character by animating different states, idle, thinking and responding. The animations was made in Adobe AfterEffects and then exported as lottie files.
I made a whole state-machine-driven avatar for Botty, which unfortunately did not end up in the final design. It was made with Rive as a dynamic living avatar, mixing between animations based on Botty's current state. Try it yourself.
